[He sits and he takes her hand and squeezes it when she flushes.]

What a strange word for something so exciting. Date.

That would make me happy, Aerith. To date you.

[Not much changes in his expression, but he does kiss her fingers.]

Tell me more about what dating would entail.

It is a funny word, isn't it? Dating.

[She smiles at the finger kiss. It warmed her so much inside.]

It would be a lot of what we were doing but now...we could do romantic things together. We can kiss, embrace and...if we want to have sex...we could have that too.

A lot of it is the same, really. But, I should be clear.

[She made to brush her thumb lightly over his lips.]

I only want to date you. If you want to have sex, or do romantic things with other people...I won't limit you.

Is that okay?

[He considers, his hand still in hers, and he thinks about Dys back home. How he would feel about Aerith.

He would probably love her, he decides, because Dys would be able to see how different, compassionate, and lovely she is.

Romance is so new to him, but he knows he wants this. He kisses her thumb, nodding.]

Would you be happy that way?

I don't know, but I'll be willing to give it a try.

I think it'll help if we make sure to keep talking about how things are, and how we feel for each other.

Even if it's in the form of compliments and telling the other that they appreciate the relationship.

[She's a little pink from the thumb kiss.]

Oh that's simple. I can talk for hours about how I feel for you, sugarbug.

[He pulls her in close.]

I don't have another romantic relationship now. I am not sure what it would take to get there. You are, after all, very special to me.

[His eyes close for a moment as he thinks, wanting to get this relationship started right.]

I am very close with John. We share a great many things, just as you and I do. But it isn't romantic. It simply - is.

[She moves her hand to stroke her hand over his hair, and nuzzled him.]

Does it mean it's sexual at times, or friendship? I understand he's special. Because he is.

[Which means he strokes her hair gently as he says it.

And he thanks John for giving him the words.]

It is sexual in its own way. Intimate is perhaps a better word. Sex is only in human form.

[He tuts, struggling to find words.]

Mm. Intimate might be better. John and I...we are that. We adopted each other recently.

[She knew that John slept with people around the Barge. Not directly, but still.

Gently, she took his hand and kissed his knuckles, his palm, and his wrist.]

But I'm happy you two have found happiness together.

[He curls his fingers gently under her chin and kisses her forehead.]

How much do you wish for me to tell you if anything happens with someone else?

I am not looking, I should add. It is truly not something I seek.

[And now that he is dating Aerith, he feels a little closer to her. More desire to spend his time with her and not with anyone else.]

[She felt herself soften, feeling the sweetness of the gesture.]

I'm not looking either. I just want to be with you.

But if something happens with someone else, let me know? We can talk it out if you want something serious, or if it's for fun.

But I think it will have to be a sit down, and not something said in passing.

[He leans his head back a little, holding her warm weight close.]

I'm glad we're doing this, Aerith. Dating. What a rousing adventure we can take together.

[She nestled up to him, and moved to rest her head against the crook of his neck.]

It'll be a wonderful adventure together.

[Gently, she rests her hand against his chest.]

Rousing though...I never thought it'd be like that. But I'm glad we're here, together.

Hm. And why not? You have so much you can show me and I have so much to show you.

[He loops an arm around her, breathing her in.]

I would like to kiss you first, though.

I just don't think of relationships and rousing in the same sentence.

[She giggles quietly, moving to stroke his arm gently, slowly.]

But...yeah. I'd like you to kiss me too.

[A promise he seals with a gentle kiss, long fingers trailing under her jaw.

[She didn't say anything; instead she melted into the gentle kiss, her eyes closing and leaning against him.

The kiss felt right. She was glad she invited him over for this.]

[It is nice to not pull away. It feels comfortable and warm and, for a while, the loneliness ceases to creep in on him. He doesn't feel it on the fringes of his mind. There is just a simple joy here with Aerith as he holds her, deepening the kiss before he pulls away, tucking his hair behind his ear.]

You are so soft. [He laughs gently.]

[There was nothing but gentle joy, a warmth and a deepening kiss that ended so soon- even if they had been kissing for a few minutes.]

Well...

[She kissed his cheek, his nose, before kissing the corner of his mouth.]

I wasn't half on your lap before. That might make a difference.

[He kisses her again, just quickly, sliding a hand against her shoulders and back.

He is certainly not finished with her, but he does need a moment to marvel at her in simple wonderment.]

It is a perfect spot for you.

[She kissed him, slow and sweet and a swipe of his lip with her tongue, before pulling back.]

Mmhmm.

[He gets a quick, strange thrill at the movement of her tongue, feeling warm and a bit flushed himself.

He does love his human body sometimes.].

Exactly. What else is this human form good for?

Oh, for a lot of things Sym.

[She smiled, gently sliding properly onto his lap, carefully positioning her skirt out of the way.]

And that will be a fun adventure to start today.

[He sits a little straighter, one hand dropping to her hip, gathering her skirt in his fingers.

He leans in, kissing not her mouth but just underneath her ear.]

[Her breath catches, and she moved to rub his shoulders, up to his hair.]

Maybe...maybe I was mistaken? About rousing adventures?
